ITD Research Forum 2025: Driving Local Economies through Special Economic Corridors and International Agreements

ศาตราจารย์ ดร.รุธิร์ พนมยงค์ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านการเชื่อมโยงแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ได้รับเกียรติเป็นวิทยากรปาฐกถาในหัวข้อ “ขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจท้องถิ่นผ่านระเบียงเศรษฐกิจพิเศษและความตกลงระหว่างประเทศ” ในงาน ITD Research Forum 2025 ที่จัดโดยสถาบันระหว่างประเทศเพื่อการค้าและการพัฒนา (องค์การมหาชน) เพื่อเผยแพร่ผลงานวิจัยด้านการค้า การพัฒนา และความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ ในวันพุธที่ 27 สิงหาคม 2568 ณ โรงแรม เดอะ เบอร์เคลีย์ ประตูน้ำ กรุงเทพมหานคร
การนำเสนอจะได้แสดงผลการศึกษาของโครงการ “การพัฒนาระเบียงเศรษฐกิจภูมิภาคเพื่อสร้างไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้” ซึ่งดำเนินการโดยศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านการเชื่อมโยงแห่งมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ร่วมกับหน่วยบริหารและจัดการทุนด้านการพัฒนาระดับพื้นที่ (บพท.) โดยสาระสำคัญของการปาฐกถาจะครอบคลุม

  • แนวคิด Thai Centrality เพื่อสร้างความเป็นศูนย์กลางของประเทศไทยในภูมิภาค
  • ผลการวิเคราะห์การเชื่อมโยงระหว่างพื้นที่ระเบียงเศรษฐกิจและภูมิภาคโดยรอบ
  • ผลการประเมินศักยภาพพื้นที่ระเบียงเศรษฐกิจของประเทศไทย
  • การประยุกต์ใช้ Connectivity Simulation Model เพื่อประเมินผลกระทบของโครงการและแผนพัฒนาต่อการเติบโตของพื้นที่
  • แนวทางการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจท้องถิ่นผ่านการพัฒนาระเบียงเศรษฐกิจพิเศษควบคู่กับความตกลงระหว่างประเทศ

งานครั้งนี้ถือเป็นเวทีสำคัญในการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และข้อเสนอเชิงนโยบาย เพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพเศรษฐกิจของประเทศให้ก้าวสู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางการเชื่อมโยงในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้อย่างยั่งยืน

Professor Dr. Ruth Banomyong, Director of the Center of Excellence on Connectivity, Thammasat University, was honored to be a keynote speaker on the topic “Driving Local Economies through Special Economic Corridors and International Agreements” at the ITD Research Forum 2025, organized by the International Institute for Trade and Development (Public Organization) to disseminate research on trade, development, and international cooperation. The event took place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at The Berkeley Hotel, Pratunam, Bangkok.

The presentation will showcase the results of the study of the “Development of Regional Economic Corridors to Make Thailand the Hub of Southeast Asia” project, implemented by the Center of Excellence on Connectivity, Thammasat University, in collaboration with the Local Development Fund Administration and Management Office (DDA). Key points of the presentation will cover:

  • The concept of Thai Centrality to establish Thailand as a regional hub
  • Results of the analysis of connectivity between the economic corridors and surrounding regions
  • Results of the assessment of the potential of Thailand’s economic corridors
  • Application of the Connectivity Simulation Model to assess the impact of projects and development plans on local growth
  • Approaches to driving the local economy through the development of special economic corridors in conjunction with international agreements

This event serves as an important forum for exchanging knowledge and policy proposals to enhance the country’s economic potential and achieve sustainable connectivity as a hub in Southeast Asia.
